Ninety Mile Beach

From the shallow inlets near Port Albert to the wide open waterways of Lakes Entrance lies the Ninety Mile Beach – a 90-mile long stretch of pristine golden sand that separates the Gippsland Lakes from Bass Strait.

Tarra Bulga National Park

Known for its giant Mountain Ash trees, beautiful fern gullies and ancient myrtle beeches, Tarra Bulga in South Gippsland has some of the best examples of original cool temperate rainforests of the Strzelecki Ranges. Walk to the impressive Corrigan’s Suspension Bridge, which stretches through the rainforest canopy, affording spectacular views of the lush fern gully on the forest floor below.

Gippsland Lakes

Begin your boating journey in Sale and explore the vast Gippsland Lakes and beyond. The Port of Sale provides access to the entire lakes region, eventually connecting to the ocean at Lakes Entrance. When travelling in Sale, you will be visiting the lands of the Gunaikurnai People.

Morwell River Falls 

Tucked away just out of Boolarra, it is a place of peace. Its remote location and dense bushland is part of its charm. A walking trail takes you from the carpark past a series of stunning cascades in the upper reaches of the Morwell River in this oasis of native bush.

Sale Heritage Walk

Spot these points of interest on the main streets of Foster and York. Also make sure not to miss the old Cobb & Co on Raymond St.

Swing Bridge

The bridge was designed to be operated by a two-person hand cranking system. Currently, it is opened using a trailer-mounted hydraulic power unit.
